Yeah got forbid we had KB when all of our WRs were injured.

Throwing dropped TDs to Clay in the playoffs just hit the spot dude

No one expected Samuel and Byrd to miss the rest of the season. They played well prior to their injuries. Also, teams stopped stacking the box, which improved our run game.

What we're talking about here likely played a big role - if not the primary role - in Gettleman's firing, whether we like it or not. So yeah, it matters. Big time.

What played the biggest role in Gettleman's firing is our owner being stupid.

Gettleman now has another GM job. When Hurney was let go before, no one else wanted him. And if he's let go again, his agent may contact other teams about front office jobs. Their response would likely be to snicker.

This forum, especially since Cam has come along has opened my eyes a ton....I think.

There are people out there who worry where ESPN has the Panthers in the Power Rankings, worry about ex-players mouthing off about being fired, guys who want every single free agent available and those same guys who don't understand a lick about the salary cap.

Guys who have no idea what the difference in 3/4 vs 4/3 defensive players, want washed up players back no matter what, and care more about what color the center of our field is painted than they do about winning a super bowl.

This is confusing as hell.

What malice did steve smith have towards the ORGANIZATION? He had beef with two people and two people only, Rivera and Dg....idk why people keep trying to make it like he said fug the panthers. He’s already made up with Rivera

Some posters are wearing Gettlevision.

they follow this sport in a bubble and judge everything in a vacuum and think that routine normal poo that every good team does is blasphemous and uncouth

Or perhaps it's nice to release good players without them finding out on Twitter first. I don't care about who's the better GM I just think it's important to be respectful to other people you work with. These players arnt fing chess pieces you can just sacrifice at you own pleasure. They are human fing beings who deserve respect as much as the next guy. Doesn't matter if they are incredible or terrible every player in this league deserves respect and kindness when thier jobs are so crazy.

You guys need to Stop taking over these threads comparing GMs or quoting other teams that are ruthless. Guess what even the ruthless guys like Bill Belichick are respectful to thier players. You can be both.

You think Belichick is gentle and respectful in the way he handles players?

Yeah sure, and Tom Brady is never an a--hole to his teammates either.
