Big difference in cut players attitudes

I've lost the debate? Whatever Scot,  most people in this thread know that you're full of poo as it pertains to this debate.  Stop lying to yourself.  You're delusional if you think that any player,  coach,  owner or GM,  can't develop a reputation that will adversely affect free agent signings.  Everyone knows it.  I don't even necessarily think that Gettleman has cemented his reputation,  but if he keeps doing business in New York,  the way that he did here,  players are going to see it as negative.  Plain and simple!  Will it affect every player? No.  Will it affect some?  Yes. But provided that Gettleman isn't a fool or an egomaniac,  he hopefully learned something from his time here.  He obviously got better actually firing people as time went on...maybe...but perhaps being overly contentious with Olsen or TD was the last straw.  Who knows?  What I will guarantee is that if he keeps handling players in New York the way that he handled them here,  he will be fired yet again.

So,  basically,  you can keep debating with yourself. I say what I mean and mean what I say, and I'm not going to let you put thoughts in my head or words in my mouth.

Take your L and go argue with Goobs or someone else.

If you say so :eyeroll:

I'm going to sleep.  You're boring me with your continued nothingness.

Oh you've done it now! I'm going to grab my popcorn so I can prepare to read the incoming 100 page novel @Mr. Scot is going to hit you with. Obviously he doesn't care though.  He's not emotionally invested in Dave Gettleman.

I actually thought if Knight earlier today when thinking about this thread.

I think it's true to a point,  but the big difference is that college players are glorified kids. Grown ass men who are paid professionals are only going to put up with so much. And,  it's a new day in time too?!

Even as hard and demanding as Belichick is,  players have plenty of good things to say about the man. I've never heard players insinuate that he's an asshole. Now fans might think he's a cheating asshole,  but I haven't heard that from the players (not even Randy Moss,  that JAG receiver that he cut before the Super Bowl that used to play for us,  or Malcolm Butler).

If all you see is Belicheck in press conferences and on the field you get a much different perception than if you talk in private is what I have read from interviews with present or former players. He apparently is very demanding and tough but fair at the same time. Again it isn't mutually exclusive.
