Depending on scheme I guess he could play CB. Like in a Seattle type system. I don't even think we'd be considering him at CB and we're probably fielding one of the slowest CBs in the NFL in Worley.

There are few players really worth trading up in the 1st given the steep cost. If you arent  looking for a specific player or position then plenty of difference makers will be available when you draft at your regular slot.

Tbh our chances to trade up or trade back have expired imo unless it’s later rounds. We have prime chances to do so 2013-2015, either trading up for a ot or WR, but we didn’t make a move(2014 understandable so). If by a miracle we fill a lot of holes in fa, by all means let’s do it but if not we gotta roll the dice and hope players fall or slip to the back end of the draft

Why is that? We have two 3rds this season as well as potential comp picks next year depending on what we do in free agency. I don't think potential trades up or down should ever be off the table unless there's a guy on the board at your spot that you have as great value at that spot. In that case, just run that card up and take your guy. But let's say a Derwin James did somehow fall to the late teens. I'd be disappointed if we weren't making phone calls dangling one of those 3rds as bait to jump up and take him. On the same note, let's say we get to #24 and there's no one on the board we're super excited about. All our top targets are gone and there's a group of similarly ranked prospects there and Cleveland is on the phone offering #33 and #35 to move up. Maybe Baker Mayfield is still on the board and they've taken Saquon Barkley and Minkah Fitzpatrick and #1 and #4. Make that trade. Just some hypotheticals.

I agree with you on this I’m only saying that if we’re unable to fill holes in fa, than every pick counts imo, I should have been specific as well, the cost to trade in the top 10-15 may be too much as well.....this is only if we don’t address one of the top 3-4 needs in fa
