I think it was a pretty small minority that wanted him off the roster. I think most wanted us to bring in competition and hopefully see him in a backup role, but given our lack of depth at safety and his cheap rookie contract I thought it was really dumb to straight up cut the guy.

Philly had a theory that his political activism kinda helped him get shown the door.

Boston was one of the guys who wanted to do some sort of protest prior to a game.  Richardson and Rivera reportedly nixed it.

Rivera just doesn't want guys to be political in game or locker room situations at all.  Even if he agrees with the cause, he doesn't want the distraction. And he doesn't feel it's fair for guys to be put on the spot.

Fans were angry at Boston for his bloopers, but once fans got a taste of Coleman and Adams for a season they changed their tune on Boston. He'd be welcomed back at this point. That's how bad we are at safety.

I can understand both sides of that coin. I can understand the players wanting to use their platform to have their voices be heard, but at the same time, when you're at work you're representing your employer. Try going to work tomorrow and publicly protesting something under your company's logo that they don't necessarily stand for or want their brand associated with and see how long you remain employed.

Been getting face time on the NFLN, actually not to bad at it. I still would rather draft a guy and maybe bring Boston in for competition
