Has anybody used FuboTV after cutting the cord?

I want to cut out the Directv as their costs have skyrocketed since I signed up about 5 years ago.  I'm all for a streaming option, but the problem I have is DVR.  My family and I rely heavily on recorded broadcasts.  Do any of these emerging services have a way to record shows or at least access something like a game after it was aired live?

Vue has DVR free, recorded items are available for 28 days so you need to watch then in that window but the DVR is awesome on Vue.

Also you get a large amount of TV Everywhere apps that are amazing.  For instance ID now (free with PS Vue subscription) has all Most Evil episodes on demand.  just for example.  There are 3 Disney Now apps, etc.

With me getting the all the locals in my area I don't need any other option Vue doesn't have.  And the stream quality is really close to perfect.  No issues at all.

Sounds great. I'd have to see if DirecTV Now streams sports from CBS, NBC, and FOX live in my area.

Edit: looks like i get ABC and NBC live, but not Fox. So I could use the DTVN login to access the Fox app?

You can use a login for any of the streaming services to access Fox Sports. Or any of the apps that require a subscription service ID check. Doesn't have to be DTVN. I use my son's DTVN login so for me it is free. That's the point I was trying to make, sorry if it was confusing.

A good OTA antenna for local broadcast, a chromecast for web content, a Roku or Fire TV stick for apps, and a relative's subscription service login for apps and you have cord cutting 101 for about $120 up front for hardware and No Monthly Costs.

There's a group on Facebook, #CordCutters, that's been very helpful with questions, how-to's, reviews, etc. Free Youtube also has a gazillion videos and, btw, they're a great resource for old movies and tv series and fan fiction.

Live. Fox Sports has about a 20 second delay. Too, I know a few websites for free live sporting events I'd share once you get set up. Especially if you don't have generous relatives.

What I'm suggesting is to start your cord cutting cheaply and simply with the basics. Give it a little time to see how you like it and what you may need to add (sub services do have trial periods and no contracts so it's easy to switch around). Most new to cord cutting don't understand that it is not a full replacement of cable. It is different, takes a different way to think of tv/video viewing. Some go back to cable. Some come to enjoy the DIY nature of it.

Unreal simple method:

Buy an Amazon Fire TV

Download the PS Vue app...sign up with a Playstation new account.  All free.

Try it for 4 days...if you dont like it cancel.

Cut the cord by calling your cable provider and removing everything but internet.  I would say 100 mps is best.  If your provider cant guarantee 100 mps then just try it anyway.  Ask the cable person about..How do I hardwire to the Fire TV.

Enjoy you cordcutter freedom.

Adding total cost:

Amazon Fire TV...50 bucks one time cost.

PS Vue monthly service (no contracts ever) depends on your preference..I would choose CORE 45.99 per month.

Your internet cost.

Thats it.

After reading these post and checking out a few videos yesterday, I went home to try this service.  I was a bit confused on the set-up on my amazon fire stick, because it was a intimidating at first.  I went to the SETV website and followed on of their videos.  It was easier after watching the video and I stop letting it get to me.

I was only able to get 1 day free, but we will get it for a month and see how it goes.  My wife already loves it, she is Filipino, so the cost is much cheaper than when we added (then discontinue after about a year) the Pinoy package to our dish network.

It looks like it will work for us.  I am able to get ABC, CBS, NBC FOX and more, I  just need to make sure we can get them locally (WRAL -she can't live with them), when I get home later.

Also, I'm hoping it works come the NFL season.  I will have to hook my back-up outside ant. up just incase.

GearsTV and it is not even close. much better then settv. All movie channels plus skytv and nba league pass hockey bass mlb innings and nfl directv- also streams all ppv fights as a bonus includes streamsrus which has every movie you can think of. 15 buck a month 17 if you want the guide which is setup like directtv

Appreciate all the suggestions from everyone. I'm a reddit NFL Streams guy, but often it's significantly delayed (and I'm on Twitter during games) and/or the quality is poor. I'll be looking to spend a bit of money for better coverage this season.

To answer the original question, FUBO is 100% pure on-fire garbage. It will crash whenever there's a significant sporting event that attracts more than a handful of viewers. I signed up to watch a few US Soccer qualifiers before they poo'd the bed, and the streams were down 75 percent of every game. When they worked at all, it was a buffering nightmare. Avoid at all costs unless they invest in huge upgrades to their bandwidth.

WRAL has a free app if what she needs them for is news and weather.
