There is speculation from various sources that Mike Mitchell could be on his way out of Pittsburgh.

He would certainly not have a big price tag.

Would you take him over Coleman? 

Bringing back Norman and Mitchell would give our defense a huge boost of nasty.

He's not only an upgrade over our current safeties, but he'd bring some swagger back to our secondary as well.

Steelers save 6.5 million by cutting him...yeah he gone.

Would like to bring him back, and the price wouldn't be high...but how much does he have left?  A legit question because outside of his (sometimes dirty) hits, not sure how much of an upgrade he would be over (hopefully) a draft pick.

 

 

Side note, we signed Mitchell for 1 year, 1 million dollars back in 13. I miss contracts like that.

We need an attitude in our D back. I’m all for bringing Mike back. Depends on price and his experienced role though. He probably shouldn’t be starting or playin the bulk of the snaps. A lesser role would be ideal.

If we can upgrade both starters, I think keeping coleman as a backup might be smart. He has played both FS and SS recently so it would give us very versatile depth.

Mitchell should come relatively cheap and he's six years younger than Mike Adams. Yeah, another stopgap. But probably a better stopgap than we currently have.

Have you seen him play the last two years? Dude is slow and takes bad angles. He does draw good unsportsmanlike penalties though.
