Skins looking to trade Norman. Or flat out release him.

So you're not willing to give them as much time as Norman got to come into their own?

I know, they should be pro bowlers in their rookie season.

If this is a basic opinion we can all agree on..

Then why would such a great GM recind a tag that could have help  bridge the gap between the growing pains of learning our system and still fielding a competent secondary??

It took Josh three years to come into his own as a CB. Let our guys have that long, they've performed fairly well, actually better than Josh in his first two years of riding the bench.

And Josh has kind of fallen off a cliff since he left. They still try to gin up some interest between him and OBJ, but that's about it. Josh crazy talked his way out of here, got the giant Redskin's paycheck that kills off good but immature players, and he's now finding himself out there looking for work.

If they release him, offer him a couple of million to come back. If he pauses or starts talking crazy again, just thank him, hand him an apple and send him on his way.

He should’ve never rescinded the tag, regardless. I was pretty vocal about it. And josh handled it pretty well. Let him ride delta on back to charlotte!

It wasn't like Josh was a casual bystander in the events that led up to his tag being rescinded.  In fact, I would go so far as to say he was the one primarily responsible.

Hmmmm I don't know about the perform "fairly well".. now i agree with the needing time to develop .. All CB usually do.. But lets not sugar coat them beating and brunt regularly.. Let's be honest Ryan Anderson did a promo for pro bowl  votes during a game against them this year... Julio 100 player video could have just been the 300 yard game last year... They have taken some bad lumps.  Right now they are not good and haven't shown that they couldn't use some serious help...

If we kept Josh that year, that would've been $14M less we had for KK, Turner, current FAs, etc. He wouldn't have made enough of a difference to where we could've been legit SB contenders that year so why would we have kept him?

It was only 12mil.. I'm not going to even act like I know  how the salary cap works.. And since we signed them a year after the tag and he would have been a urfa then.. So I don't get how that would have affected them getting signed if he was off the books.. But beyond that I wanted back to back winning seasons and at least a chance to build off super bowl success..  Being honest there is nothing you're going to say to make me think Gman wasn't a idiot for that..

The timing

The not having a plan

The not fixing other position

All of it was bad imo..

then I'm wrong ... But I still wouldn't have taken back that tag.. Gman waited so long  at that point you had no other FA option.. Then he did nothing else to fix other area of the team (oline).. So no he made a dumb move compounded by the fact he had no plan to fix it other than drafting a abnormal amount of rookie CB and throwing them in the fire.. I just can't call that smart..

It was $13.95 M for one year. Cap space carries over year to year when you have extra. That money freed up was used directly for the front loading of KK’s contract.

Good for you. Did I say anything about your opinion of the situation? Just corrected a fact you seemed pretty adamant was correct.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
