Here is the best way I can describe ESPN. ESPN reporters are like "psychics" that prey on old ladies whose only income is their dead husband's pension and social security. They tell these old ladies 15 different forms of bullshit, hoping that just one will stick, thus giving them credibility, and then it will keep the old ladies coming back.

"You will unexpectedly come into a lot of money."

"Oh my god, I found a $5 bill in my purse! She was right!"

That is the essence of ESPN "journalism". Throw 100 bullshit rumors at the wall and pray to god one of them sticks. 99% of them have no foundation, and are just people like Schefter and Mort saying to themselves, "Hmm, who has a 1st rounder to give up and could use a 6' 6" 287 lb. super athletic defensive end?"

ding...ding...ding...we have a winner.

Their research is as follows:

New England traded Seymour....they have a 1st and 2nd round pick....they MUST be interested in Peppers. Print the story.

exactly.

In the article they mention they are brining up the Pats/Pep rumor again despite it being shotdown repeatedly by facts.

they also bring up the 49ers and say it is purely hypothetical and there is nothing to support.

So there is nothing to support any being written....but they wrote it...acknowledging there is nothing to support anything they spew.

I don't envy these writers who have to come up with "news" from nowhere.

This article not only wasted the fans' time, but it wasted that writer's time too. I'm sure he doesn't even believe this will happen.

I know right? Why even bother writing the stuff when you say several times through it that you have no factual evidence to support it.

It's kinda sad that sports journalism has pretty much turned into the same thing as US Weekly and People Magazine. It sucks.

In other news, did you hear that Jon Gosselin is being sued by TLC? OMG!

You guys must be joking! i mean if you trade peppers our team will not go anywhere! WE JUST CAN'T TRADE HIM! hopefully we wont. come on you guys know what will happen to us!
I'd like to see him get traded during the offseason, the Pats can have him, even for a 2nd and 4th rounder, maybe lower! Now if you meant,we can't trade him ever or even let him walk, you are sadly mistaken!

Would suck to get a New England 1st draft pick, cause it will be at the top of the round. Need to trade him to like... the browns, or rams or something...

Would be nice but if a trade did happen, which is unlikely, it would probably be with a team that thinks he will either help them make the playoffs or make the superbowl. Otherwise why would a bad team give up picks for a guy they are going to have to franchise cause he most likey wont sign a long term deal with them in the offseason.

If there is one thing that pisses me off, it is that teams keep dealing with the pats (i know this is horseshit, just making a point). They have been good long enough. Haven't people learned that when you deal with the pats you get the short end of the Stick? F them, don't deal with them and make them draft their talent (don't keep giving them the talent that helps them win year after year). I'd also like to put a request in for the Steelers and the NFC East to go through a 10 year suckass period starting Sunday. F 'em all!
