Divisional and championship 2015 are both tied for my top.

Maybe because it was the Seahawks and the second half made it a roller coaster of emotion but that game may honestly top the championship game from just a game standpoint. The stew run to start the game followed by the Luke  pick 6 had the damn ground shaking.

The trophy ceremony and with the confetti and all that brought a tear to my eye. I was so fuging happy.

Agreed.  I think the Luke pick 6 right after we just scored on the previous drive may be the loudest I ever was at a game.

The Philly Brown long td against the cards in the nfcc is a play I will never forget as well.

Been to a lot of games dating back to the inaugural home game at Clemson. For me, the 2013 monsoon game against the Saints was the best ever, topping even the 2015 championship game. There have been many games with big implications, but that 2013 saints game was the best ever combined experience: big game, division rivals, full house crowd. Over the years, I can remember so many mediocre crowds and fair weather fans, so it was amazing to finally experience a game where the team and crowd both fed off of each other in that way. And not just in a regular, sunny day, but in a torrential downpour. It was the loudest game I can remember. And it kept getting louder the harder it rained.

NFC Championship was the best one I ever attended. The pure dominance all game long was incredible to witness.

But those people that voted for the Saints game also have a great argument. I could feel the energy from that stadium in my living room. Just think of the emotional factors and that rollercoaster that game had. Arguably the best game ever played in that stadium.

I have argued with myself for 30 minutes on this question.

96 Chad Cota's interception in the End Zone (my end zone) to win our First Divisional Title

05 Steve Smith Smokes Fred Smoots for over 200 yds.  Smoots talking trash before game.

11 Christmas eve, eve.   Cam Newton runs 50 yds dragging Bucs the last 10 as Carolina whooped TB.

I wish I was at that game.  Gruden was never the same after.  Nothing like running all over one of the top run defenses in the NFL. I believe 299 yds.  Would have been 300 if we didn't kneel.

I wasn't there, but I was high enough....

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
