With the exception of Manning, Norman, and Hardy, they have already done more than any of Hurney’s picks made from 25th overall to 7th rd. Norman and Hardy both looked like they weren’t going to make Practice cuts at least once during there first 3 years.

Keep in Mind 11 years of drafts to Gettleman’s 5.

Gettleman was not the Drafting genius many like to believe but he wasn’t horrible either, however, after Hurney, Gman seemed like a genius

Help me out here.. What have they done that is actual tangible.. Because you are saying a bunch dumb poo right now that doesn't mean poo..

How is that Hurney's fault??

It’s the debate about if Hardy was a good pick. Hurney made the pick.

Hardy cost the team more than he made the team! Would have been better off avoiding Hardy and going a different route, but hey, that’s that hindsight thing! At least Eric Shelton never harmed the team except for being a wasted pick

Being an NFL GM isn't about charity. A GM is absolutely accountable for checking out the backgrounds on draft candidates. When he takes a risk on someone with serious off field concerns and those off field concerns end up coming back to bite us in the ass in a major fashion, he absolutely deserves some blame for that situation.

What?? 1. You are making up a narrative because you don't actual know what he did??

2. It only hurt us when Gman gave him 13mil and tagged him.. How is that Hurney fault??

3. Gman had him under his thumb for 2 years and didn't see a problem giving him 13mil... Hurney had a draft season to use a "6th" round pick on him.. Who is at fault more for "your opinion" of him screwing us??

And Hurney drafted a pro bowler.. You are giving credit to players who haven't done poo and were higher round gambles.. Do you not understand how dumb this looks??

Would we be better off had he never been on the team? Yes or no?

I'm not making up any narrative. Was Hardy or was he not suspended indefinitely in college for an undisclosed violation of team rules? Was he or was he not a high performing college pass rusher of prototypical NFL measurables? Was he or was he not passed over in the draft multiple times by every team in the NFL? Is is it typical for a proven pass rusher of prototypical NFL measurable to last past the 1st, maybe 2nd round at the latest? Now add it all up and what do you get?

Both GMs screwed us over in this situation, but why do you continue to try to move the goal posts on your arguments? My only argument was that YES YOU CAN FAIRLY BLAME THE GM WHEN A PLAYER WITH RED FLAGS OFF THE FIELD ENDS UP HAVING OFF THE FIELD ISSUES IN THE NFL.

Psssst, but he never made any substantial impact towards the team winning anything. Team would be better today had we not drafted him. Bad pick in hindsight

Okay genius who was a better pick in the 6th round that year.. And before you give a dumb answer .. That person has to be a 2x pro bowler picked after hardy..

No.. We would not have had a 13 and 3 season 2013 .. Because him and CJ were the best DE tandem in the league that year.. Nor would we have gotten a higher comp pick when he left and signed in Dallas.

Really? This one is super easy.  How about a 6x Pro Bowler and 4 time 1st team All-Pro who has led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards twice in his career?

Greg Hardy was drafted #175 overall. Antonio Brown went #195.

1. He wasn't suspended indefinitely and breaking team rules could be smoking weed, missing practice, cheating on a test, cutting class.. None of this says he was a future violent offender...

2. Yes he was a prototype but he was also Injuried alot..

3. A lot of players get past over for different reason.. That don't mean poo.. Team could have passed over him due to injury history as well as missing practise .. Which could mean he doesn't love football..But none of that say women beating gun nut..

4. Do you really want to go thru the history of players who were passed up for all sorts of reason.. Again he was injured A lot.

5. You can't blame a GM for using a late pick on talent with some question marks.. He got 5 years of little to no problem out of the guy.. Hurney nor Gman can be blame for him losing his mind after 5 years of good behaviour .. Prison inmates get released in less time with good behaviour...

That's one player.. For this to be such a easy move you need to add 20 to 30 more players to that list..
