*SPECULATION* Rapoport: Panthers Among Potential Suitors For Trading For 16 Million Dollar Scatback Jarvis Landry

Apparently Hurney's interested in paying 16 million dollars to a slot receiver at best.

Hopefully this is merely speculation and nothing more. Despite what you think about Landry and his skillset 16 million dollars is way too much, and I have doubts he'll be negotiating a reasonable deal.

Landry can ball period.  He's clutch, and very sure handed.  I'm scared Cam might lock in on him like he did KB, and not spread it around.  Would be a top 5 Panther WR ever immediately, and possibly top 3, not that we've had many worth a poo. Having said all that the price tag is too much still.  That should be reserved for the Julio Jones's, Antonio Brown, and even OBJ's of the league.  It's whatever someone is willing to pay for a pro bowl wide receiver though, and these contracts will continue to grow.

And please spare me the Landry cult. I don't need to be converted to whatever deity you see in Landry or slandered for not thinking he's the next coming of Jerry Rice or something.

Then you should also do us all a favor and stop posting fluff pieces on bottom of the barrell, garbage players.

Well, this might make a difference.

Rams appear more likely to tag LaMarcus Joyner than Sammy Watkins

Probably still talking a lot of money here, but no draft pick compensation if indeed they don't tag him.

Imo there is no comparison production-wise between Landry and Watkins. But Watkins would surely be cheaper and fits what is needed better than Landry imo. We need a big play WR. That’s Watkins more than Landry.

The deal doesn’t happen unless the contract is friendly...I can’t imagine the dolphins needing a guard tho so it terrifies me what Hurney might be willing to trade.

No such thing as getting a friendly contract out of a guy who is already guaranteed $16M this year.
