His YPC alone,  should be a red flag and aren't Smitty-esque in the slightest.

Many of us told you that Landry was a pipe dream from the get-go. I also told you that Moncrief would be my main target (assuming that Watkins is also out of reach).  Glad to see you've seen the light.  ;)

1st off you ppl didn't tell me poo.. I've always added in the caveat "if the price was right" and if he was looking to be on a winning team or looking for money.. All I wanted the team to do is just invite him in and see what was important to him.. I wouldn't pay him 16mil  I was thinking 12 at the most.. So no you didn't tell me poo.

I don't give a poo about that one stat you ppl keep bringing up.. While ignoreing the most important stats..  Can he catch ? Yes High hands rate.. Does he get open?? Yes  High target rate..

YPC can be controlled by the system you play in (dink and dunk) and the QB's you play with (Tannahille questionable deep ball was a story as of just 2 years ago).. 4 years in the league Avg. 1000 90+ rec and 6 tds. While being a punt and kick returner..

A history of producing great numbers.

He catches everything that comes his way..

He gets open A lot.

What more do you want??

And for all these Madden scouts.. This is really not that hard..

Amazing Hands +  separation ability + commitment to route running prowess + and dangerous in space + toughness and dog like  attitude = a WR who can line up anywhere with anybody and produce..

Plain and simple Landry reminds me of Smitty.. Attitude, hands, great route running and quickness..

But I wouldn't give up picks and 16mil for him the price is to high for a player that doesn't fix all your problems .

Yea i like Landry but the key to having a good Free agent signing is not over paying and hurting your team in the long run

I think the Panthers need to sign a good free agent Wr and draft one in the second or 3rd round

Anyway Landry's best season he on had 200 receiving yards when he wasn't in the slot.

Landry would improve our team but to act like he's anything more than a slot receiver is asinine. That's not to say slot receivers aren't important, Brady's best WR is a slot guy, but he's not some elite guy worth 1 1st, let alone two.

Hypocrite.  I call you a dumbass for some of your opinions and you think it's "asinine to disagree with you on this opinion.. Do you think there a difference here??

That would be asinine if you did....

Lmao..

I don't give a fug what a team asked a player to do in their system. He has lined up outside before and has all the relevant skills sets to do it in a different system..

I can't keep telling you this but last time..

Good route running , great hands, and quickness will help you play anywhere as a Wr..

Example Deandre Hopkins.

Not big, not fast.. But has great hands and runs excellent routes... Guess what happens =production...

There's plenty of slot WRs with those skillsets. That doesn't mean you you automatically succeeds there.

Everything you just listed you can say about. Almost any Slot WR. Not big or fast. Solid route runners with good hands. Danny Amendola, Russel Sheppard, Golden Tate. The list goes on.

That's not to say he can't line up there, he obviously can, 200~ yards on 22 catches is solid. However that's not his strength. As as much of a technician as he is, he's not athletic or big enough to consistently play on the outside.

He hasn't proven he can, whether it be he flat out can't or the Dolphins haven't asked him to, but so far all we've seen is a solid slot WR. Who just had a down year last year (though, to be fair, Jay Cutler was his QB most of that season,). Can he be an outside guy? Sure. It's possible. But based on history, he's a slot WR. He's built like a slot WR, plays like a slot WR, has the numbers of a slot WR.
