Yeah that really does make it worse lol.

Does it? Takes two people to make a deal happen.  The fact is that it took a lot of stones and foresight on Hurney's part to actually go through with trading our so-called number one receiver.

I'd rather not and I say that as someone who really likes KB.

Cam really did have an issue with locking onto him and not going through his reads and KB and Funchess are pretty much redundant players. When both of those guys are on the field as outside WRs you just don't have enough speed on the field at WR.

Agreed 100%

exactly. I think KB could work in Norvs system but theres still no way he could be on  the field at the same time with Funchess . Not sure if KB would want to be a backup #3 or #4 WR or if Funchess would want to reduce his role after doing well in KBs absence.

I think it would just create an awkward situation that wont work too well. We're better off just moving on and drafting a dude in R2 or R3 and also picking up a free agent like Marquise Lee / Mike Wallace .

I like the idea of Watkins or trading for Martavus Bryant but I think both are too unrealistic . We just arent going to have that much cap room to work with unless we let a bunch of guys go, which I can not see Hurney doing (Stew, R.Kalil, Norwell, Star, Shepard, Coleman, Gano b/c hell want a big contract, DA ).

I know its like beating a dead horse hear, but the eagles made major free agency moves on the offensive end and I think it played a gigantic role in their 2017 SB run. They picked up 2 WR (Jeffery, Smith) and got two RBs (Ajayi, Blount). You can change a team massively by adding key pieces, I'm just hoping Hurney realizes that.

I think you’re giving Hurney too much credit... I’ll give you the stones but not so much on foresight... just don’t think Marty thinks that far ahead, got the impression he’s more of an impulse player....

Hurney has made plenty of mistakes, but he was integral in bringing Stephen Davis, Ricky Proehl, and Jake Delhomme in 2003. I know that's a long time ago now but to your point, I do think Hurney recognizes the importance.

He also brought in Ken Lucas in 2005 and brought Moose back in 2008.

I think he has always been better in FA than doling out contracts and/or drafting after the first round.

That's Shula thinking. Funchess and KB have totally different skill sets. Funchess is way more dynamic and has more quickness. KB on the other hand is just a monster over the middle and the red zone. Both without a deep threat though are useless.
