 Nope, he's going to be a major part of gameplanning. Not to mention the reason he's there according to multiple sources is because he's one of "Gettlemans guys". Simply put, Dave has terrible judgement and puts his loyalty in thr wrong places.

And watch when Shurmur inevitably realizes that he'll have to give up playcalling to focus on HC responsibilities and they've got Shula calling the plays.

Also, Gettle"man" was the force behind the Shula hiring, not Shurmur.

He doesn't have that kind of power. He sure as hell doesn't have that kind of hold over a guy like David Tepper.

He might be able to pull some strings for a little while with Hurney in charge, but I doubt Hurney lasts long once ownership changes.

The NFL wants Jerry Richardson and the embarrassment that he caused gone, and they will get their way.
