If figured an old guy would side with me--I LOVE the blue and white helmets.  My dad was buddies with Roman Gabriel, and one of my earliest memories was Dad pointing him out on the TV...maybe that is why I like them.

the muted color obsession is nothing more than teams trying to chase the Nets model and become more "hip" and "urban" and create a simple branding that will look good on hats and sell lots of merchandise.

Its a shortsighted decision that will look bland when big bright and bold colors come back in vogue in 5 years time.

You can't win at this game. Trying to "look modern." There's no such thing. The only way you can consistently "look modern" is becoming the bills or jaguars or lions and changing your whole motif as often as possible and having everybody make fun of you for using your uniforms as a ploy to stay relevant.

The only that bugs me just a little about the Panthers uniforms would be the shoulder stripes

I think the Panthers alts with silver pants is one of the best uniforms in the league.

I do agree on one of the points though.  I hate that the Panthers elected not to use the updated Nike designs.  Borrrrrrrrrrring.

I think we can all agree that we should be wearing black on black at least once a year.

This is related somehow to the NFL uniform rules.  I read an article about it before they changed the helmets.. Don't have the article now, so this post is basically useless.  Sorry, lol.
