Would you be open to signing a former nemesis for a mid tier price?  I think here the kind of Sheppard level signing we need to make this offseason to give the wr core a bit of competition. Of course, I haven’t given up on Samuels but a challenge is needed in the field stretching department. That said, this isn’t even a discussion in finding a number 1 or 2 wr, this is just about finding competition for 3. Who know Gabriel I think still has room to grow and could become a 2.

additions need to be made.. what say you...

Yeah the Byrd is the wyrd.

im all for bringing in a vet WR but it needs to be someone who can compete for one of the top two spots.

^^^ This .. The guys we sign need to be starting quality competing for the top 2 spots at WR..

I certainly don't see him as any type of need,  just another body who probably wouldn't leapfrog Byrd (as Byrd has been here),  and certainly doesn't have the upside of Samuel.

He’s a big play deep threat who Cam could do wonders with if they developed solid chemistry... like Ginn. He’s not the most talented deep threat available though so I frankly would only think of him as a fallback option. And I could see Byrd or Samuel being way better than him anyways. But I think he’d have a chance at being what we thought Shep could be last year.
