I'm get sick and tired of people giving our defense way too much credit... the offense is what makes the Panthers who they are. I'm tired of people trying to hype up our 'D, like we're among the best in the NFC!!! Bulls***!!! If anybody thinks Peppers is worth $120 million and Lucas is worth $8 million (next season) and that anybody on our defense is worth s***... they are living in a dream world!

Even when we win, our defense gives the other team every possible change to beat us because they can't protect a lead to save their lives.

Neither our offense nor our defense is good enough to get us pass Round 1 of the NFC Playoffs. This team is just not that good.

We played the defending Super Bowl Champs today, and the result is what we should have expected. They have a better team and a better Coach.

6.) get a big game kicker.

i hate saying it but he completely misjudged it. started straight down the pipe with a 15+ mph wild going left right to left (or left to right from behind goalpost). needed the wind to stop for it to go through, had no chance with the wind. that would a been game set match right there. and thats what makes a great kicker converting on hard FG (it was within his range, had plenty of leg with the tailwind) , and a good one. thats 2 big foul ups that should not have happened in the 2 biggest games of his career.

LOL at all the clowns who get their panties in a knot when someone speaks bad about Julius "The God" Peppers

what the heck has he done??

seriosly

true pash rushers disrupt many plays in a game

Pep disrupted 1 yesterday and that was the sack

grow up

and I admit, I forgot the idiots traded away our 1 rnd pick for Otah.........real smart right there

now our D is in more trouble than the Illinois Governor and we cant do nothing

I guess now we can get Nnamdi and then hope and pray

nice job Hurney

Wow!!! We lost in overtime to the best team in the NFC. Not to mention in bad weather, in their backyard, and without starting DLmen. So lets throw out the year its all over we suck again. Fire Fox cut Peppers lets start over from scratch. I do not understand. In my opinion all this game states is we are very capable of beating the best team in the NFC in their house. So I look forward to seeing them in the playoffs. Even if we loose that game I will be very proud of the accomplishments made by this team this year. So please calm down Panthers fans. We are still very much in this.

Yup.

You were wrong in the thread you started and you are wrong now. He was 1-1 in the Superbowl, hitting a 50 yarder. Thats a pretty big game. In the final 3 regular season games of 2003, he went 7-7 in fg's in three wins that helped us to clinch the division. He also went 5-5 in the playoff game against Dallas that got us started on the run to the Superbowl. In our 2005 playoff run, John Kasay was 6-6 for the entire playoff run. Kasay was also 6-6 in our 1995 playoff run. Those are all big games, and since playoff games are always bigger than regular season games, most of the games I mentioned were bigger than last night. In all the playoff games he has been in, he has hit 20 of 22 fg attempts. He is one of the most clutch kickers in the NFL.

and lets not forget, 301 yds rushing WITHOUT PLAXICO

just IMAGINE how many rushing yds we would've given up if he was there

    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
