Yeah I’ve always wondered about this, but you see it all oddly.  LBs coach DBs, OL coach WRs, etc. it’s a weird trend

He probably gained a lot of RB knowledge in that game against Atlanta where we ran the wildcat every play instead of letting him qb.

I mean he was a really good RB coach for Dwill when we ran over the Falcons.

I guess if guys who never even played college ball can be successful coaches, then a QB can coach RBs. That said, if I was quality high school RB, I'd be crossing UT off my list.

Weinke was the head coach of IMG for years and last year was offensive consultant to Alabama. The new TN coach has seen him up close. His experience has a not been limited to just QB's.

He's not a bad teacher but I wouldn't consider him RB coach over a QB coach.  Go figure?
