Given his past production and him only being 28, this is highly likely.

The 49ers still have huge cap space and were 27th in the NFL in sacks last year. Gotta figure they'll be in the mix. John Lynch has pretty much already confirmed that they're going to be big players in the FA market this year.

A lot of folks do not take into consideration the fact that he has been a headache in NY---NJ Panther said it best--he is a cancer.  Besides, we have 2 3-techniques--why would be pay top $$ for a third?

So you are saying that he needs motivation? Well we fuging have that in Rivera for sure. I'd absolutely love this if it isn't an overpay. Maybe only for 2 seasons though. This guy was a beast and could play DE or DT.
