"Pat Shurmur was unable to land his top choice - and possibly choices - for offensive coordinator. Instead, he has turned to one of Dave Gettleman's guys....With the Giants, Shula will not be calling plays - Shurmur has said he prefers to that himself"

Yeah, Shula's just going to help implement Shurmur's system and Shurmur's going to call the shots on  game day.  No surprise he was last choice.    This is just as we predicted.

It's all fodder till the season. Shula would not have been hired as OC if he wasn't going to be running the offense. That website looks like it was created by a high school student as well.

Yeah, just ignore all reports that don't fit with your world view.

Ha keep dreaming he would not have been hired as OC if he wasn't running the offense. Shula ball is back.

Several people who cover the Giants have confirmed that Shula will not be calling plays. His duties are indeed mostly that of a quarterback coach.

I think giving him the OC title was just a gesture to get him on board. Remember he turned down a QB coach opportunity before because he said he wanted to be an OC. Now he is...in title anyway.

I really doubt he would have taken a QB coach position with a vanity title. He could have as easily just collected a pay check from the Panthers.

Not an opinion in this case. Giants beat writers and other sources have all confirmed that Shula will not have any play calling duties.

Yes but will he be coming up with the plan? That's just as bad if not worse.
