That’s up to prosecutors. I’m tired of the nfl playing judge, jury and executioner in public.

Isnt the court of law suppose to be the highest court?

the #metoo movement made sure due process doesn't mean poo anymore..

Is this how it works at your job?

If a DA decides not to press charges, or has them removed but the NFL during or after the fact still decides to play judge, jury and executioner publicly.

I smell some defamation of character lawsuits coming the NFL’s way in the next 5 years. We shall see.

Yep, our legal system definitely heavily favors those with ample funds to provide themselves with a top notch defense.

You mean every legal system ever.

In the middle ages you couldn't even file a court claim without paying money first(which was much higher than most peoples salary). In Rome the bribes were literally out in public and armed men came to "supervise" elections......yea just now is a problem guys....

Yep, that makes it alright. Nothing would ever change if that was everyone's attitude.

If everyone's attitude was knowledge of history we'd be much better off actually. Just clarified a fact. Start asking yourself "why" that is and you'll be less surprised when poo like this happens.

If you watch people take a leak for a living and said person slips you a few hundred bucks you gonna be like "na man you're getting tested for weed (if the pee watcher even knows why) gotta stay crackin down on fools who smoke, can't take that false sample"

We're a long way away from a post money civilization.

Ironically enough, my undergrad degree is in history.

But your historical angle is irrelevant. It isn't about being less surprised about stuff like this it's about trying to improve as a society. "That's just the way it's always been" is a really pathetic excuse for acceptance of inherent flaws in the equality of our justice system that claims to pursue equality. Hell, if everyone throughout pur history had that attitude we'd still have slavery today.
