Not supporting Hurney here but it’s sad that in the atmosphere we live in now that a woman can falsely(not saying Hurney’s innocent) accuse a man of assault and even though he’s innocent he loses his job just because it’s “bad P.R.”

Nah.

That Richardson is still pulling strings despite "excusing himself" from the operations is already confirmed.  That he's obsessed to the extreme with the team being his legacy is also well sourced.  And I've had a chance to talk to a few people who have seen the operation from the inside.

Richardson's just a narcissist.  Hurney's a nice guy but bad at his job and overly loyal to Richardson.

None of that takes a tinfoil hat to see.

And the NFL clearly isn't happy with the choice he wants to make.

Hiring Dawson is actually a very smart decision.  Just sucks that leadership basically has to be forced to make the right call.

Can't see Hurney getting the job now. The NFL is scared to death that The Charlotte Observer/ESPN digging up something from Marty's past a few weeks from now. Now that would be a disaster.

JR is still pushing behind the scenes for Hurney to get the job. Reason the NFL investigation has been fast tracked. Hurney gets the job if the NFL can clear him.
