Three things I come away/ponder from this is

1) Cam definitely does have a team friendly contract

2) Odell wants to be the highest paid NFL player....Is he going to get past $27 million/year?

3) Leveon Bell wants RB1+WR2 money...what's his number

Who the hell is going to pay an injury prone WR 27 Mill a year!?!? Cleveland??

There are always really poorly ran and really desperate teams out there so it's always a crap shoot.

I just cannot see anyone paying OBJ franchise QB money. Right now, Antonio Brown has the highest per year average at $17M per year. I expect someone will put OBJ in the $18-19M range, but as always, the devil will be in the details and the guarantees.

Leveon Bell already has by far the highest per year average of all RBs at $12.1M per year. #2 is Devonta Freeman at $8.25M. I don't think he'll find a long-term deal at that $12.1M number. Not in "real" money anyway - as in money in his contract that he'll actually see.

Remember when they instituted the rookie salary cap so that guys who had never played a single down in the NFL would stop getting ridiculous contracts?

Oy.

Garoppolo is shown himself to be genuinely good, but I'm in agreement that quarterback contracts are out of control.

Of course, the sad truth is that there are always going to be stupid teams who will overpay for players and ruin the market for everybody else.

Next CBA ends in 2020 so players have 2 years to cash in.

Yeah, like that time that dumbass team threw a ton of money at a RB nearing 30 while they had recently spent a 1st on another RB a year or two before...

Boy is that set up to be contentious.

I'm already expecting there's going to be a lockout or a strike or something.

Gonna be curious how they play the concussion issue. NFLPA will certainly want boat loads of money for retired players due to the documented issues and both sides will claim to be all about player safety but I'm betting that neither side will be all that aggressive in pushing measures that would force players into retirement due to repeated concussions.

One thing that I wonder about, whether it will enter into the discussion: Since the NFLPA successfully got practices reduced to glorified walkthroughs, injuries have actually gone up. And of course, the quality of football has gone down.

Something tells me the league won't bring that up, but maybe they should.
