The complaint - What do you make of this?

oh man the time honored tradition of the huddle coming together to call a woman a lying, money seeking, untrustworthy slut/whore/bitch who had it coming to her.

I personally just don’t believe Hurney is clever or competent enough to do the things described in the complaint. Has nothing to do with the woman. Hurney is a dumb poo and only a laughing stock franchise would hire him TWICE lol

I get what you're saying, but you don't have to be clever or competent to pull these things off. You just need to be vindictive and have access to people who are clever or competent. I don't know Marty Hurney, so I won't pretend to know what he's capable of on a personal level, but most guys with a six figure salary could hire this stuff out to a private detective(often scumbags from my own experience) or security specialist he met through the Panthers who was willing to moonlight for Marty. It's all possible.

Divorce is almost always nasty, and you don't really know what the other person is capable of until it happens. My ex had a PI following me, and did other things that were very invasive. I just didn't GAF, and ignored it, because I had nothing to worry about. However if I'd been a woman, alone, and seen a car following me, or noticed signs of people being in my house while I was gone, that would especially freak me out.

If she's actually crazy, then he should have zero problems furnishing evidence of this to investigators. Someone who's legitimately crazy will have established a pattern of behavior over the span of years they've been divorced.

At this point in time with the information currently available, reminds me of that lawsuit that Chris Hetherington's wife filed years ago. Not saying that more facts won't emerge.

Re: the Hetherington case, interesting reading for anyone with a few minutes to kill.

I remember Hetherington but don't remember news about his divorce and certainly never read that (yikes).

This is such B.S. I hope that Panthers don't fire Hurney because of this.

However, you have to question his judgment in marrying someone like this woman in the first place.

Eh, I don't know the background on this particular case, but I have had the sorry displeasure of watching a perfectly normal person slowly lose it because of mental illness & become a paranoid lunatic.

Bottom line--if she is crazy, Marty picked her out of the crowd. He also picked Greg Hardy. (har, har)

If he entered her house years after the divorce, bad idea.

Since JR is battling the same thing, I think the optics alone are not something the team can afford.  Bye MH.

Riot correctly pointed out that having both the team owner and the GM under NFL investigation at the same time, and both for problems related to women, definitely isn't a good look.

Enough of a problem to part ways with Hurney? Unknown. We'll see.
