If he's been cleared by the courts what's left to investigate? I don't want Hurney as our GM but I also hate seeing people fall victim to witch hunts. The NFL has to realize that they aren't the legal justice system and mind their business on non-NFL related matters.

Not sure if I like your attitude...   kinda throws the whole judge first,  facts later approach out the window.  I don’t blame the nfl for following thru and maybe it’s good to take leve from the team during the investigation but the fact that the judge didn’t issue an order due to lack of evidence and the complaint was withdrawn suggests he’s being pulled down in the mud

As a fan I wish we could go to the judge and issue a restraining order protecting the salary cap but that’s another story.   It probably has a lot more merit.

Seems like the courts pretty clearly deemed her not to be a victim

Not exactly.

The judge said there was no evidence of domestic violence and thus ruled against filing a restraining order.  What she's alleging is harassment.

This story is more than likely bullshit.

Outside of Marty being a controlling husband this entire story sounds fabricated...

I mean you are telling me the man who drafted Armanti Edwards in the 2nd round is intelligent enough to

1. Hack a laptop, phone, and security system

2. Track someone's pets (wtf?)

3. Break into someone's home three different times

4. Break into someone's classroom

5. Have the genius idea of placing terrorizing sticky notes throughout the home.

I love how his wife filed for more alimony once he was hired by the Panthers again.

While it sucks for Marty that she just ruined his career when he had not done anything since his return to warrant being fired, maybe it will allow the Panthets to finally turn the page.

Marty's got enough money to pay people to do stuff.  He doesn't have to do it himself.

No idea whether he's guilty or not but yeah, it is possible.

What the hell is this guilty or not bs? If he’s guilty see ya,if not this shouldn’t effect the hiring process, continue as normal.

You're right that it should not affect the hiring process, however it absolutely will guilty or not. The big story in the headlines is the initial accusation. If that falls through it gets a story but not a front page and many don't even see it. It's all about appearance, and especially in today's day and age with the me too, etc. and particularly for the Panthers with the JR news which was also bullshit but he initial story was enough of a bad look for the NFL that action was necessary.

We're not talking about a Rae Carruth hitman here. We're talking about cyber security hackers who make millions and millions of dollars to do what they do and then also asking them to break into his wife's home...

I'm not buying it.

If you wrote a book about this franchise you would have to put in the fiction section because nobody would believe the poo that has happened to this franchise.

I admit I laughed so fuging hard when I read this on the NFL page.  As much as I despise Hurney as a GM I wouldn't wish the fallout from this if it's not true.  But if it is then prayers do come true.  Just get his ass out of here and find a real GM for goodness sake and quit fuging around!

Lol more than half the people posting in this thread haven't read the article...

This board is a joke now.

I didnt, i admit it but Hurney pretty much had to have clean slate for me to still be okay with him sticking around. The allegations plus having JRs mess in the air is just a cloud we dont need right now. I just want to start fresh now. Completely fresh. New owner, new GM, New Coaching. Might as well.
