All I want is Marty Hurney  out of the panthers orgianzation

 phase 2

time to hire some floozies and get hurney drunk :)

Like ten years ago, when Marty was still GM, I was at the Cotswold Harris Teeter at like 930pm on a week night. There was a guy next to me in the self check out line who I swore was Marty Hurney.  I’m not 100% sure it was him but I think it was. He was buying a Six pack of beer like two boxes of orange dream ice cream bars and some other random junk food. Dude had a huge dip in his mouth and looked drunk. Not  overly intoxicated but looked like he had maybe been drinking earlier. He was wearing the typical old man don’t give AF outfit. An untucked button up shirt, raggedy sweat pants and loafers     . Like I said I’m not sure it was him but I think it was to this day. Whoever it was it looked like they were trying to blow off some steam from a stressful job.

I dislike Hurney more than anyone on here but this is nonsense. Judge dismissed her poo and she's harming all real victims out there with her bullshit(and is a big reason the pushback is so hard when it's just verbal accusations with 0 proof)....called being a crazy ho.

He shouldn't be punished for anything that he's not guilty of. Anyone suggesting that he should be is dead wrong.

He also shouldn't be promoted to a position that he's known to not be good at. This especially shouldn't happen when you have a chance to get someone else who actually could be good at it.

Option number one isn't likely to happen. Option number two is almost certain.

The thing is, you just do not know what the actual truth is.  You see tips of an iceberg or two and that is it.  Not convicting MH, but I am not going to clear him either.  Whatever happened, this is what we know--his ex-wife thinks he is capable of doing what she accused him of--she knows him better than a cop or a lawyer.  She simply did not come forward with a strong accusation.  You can call her crazy, but you are not psychiatrists and you do not have details or history.   And there is this...

With the cloud hanging over this franchise with JR, the publicity is the problem, and that is not determined in court.  Marty's hiring now casts doubt on the franchise.

Still, nothing is more important that the fact that Marty sucks.  4 years and he did not interview for a GM job.  That tells me enough.

Did his name ever come up with any pro sports management/executive job? I don’t recall hearing hit except with ESPN 730

So if my gut instinct that Hurney will fall on his sword doesn't happen , when are we obligated to let the interviewees know where they stand with us ?  Or are we obligated to let them know anything ?  Where would we go from there ?  Rivera running the whole show until the NFL gives Hurney the thumbs up or down or a new owner takes over and cleans house ?  And how wise would it be for a new owner to clean house if they don't take over until say, a couple weeks before the draft ?  And what is going on in the JR investigation and when do they begin investigating Hurney ? There are a hell of a lot of questions to ask and as far as I can tell no answers.

I don't think they're obligated to do anything, but it'd be a courtesy to let them know.

Of course, it probably would have been much more courteous if we hadn't had them waste their time on fake interviews.
