But is the change not for the better?

Terrible owner out? Check

Terrible OC out? Check

Questionable first year DC out? Check

Terrible "interim" GM out? Check

I've heard tales of these "football gods." What a pleasant wrath we hath endured. Dilly Dilly!

I know people around the franchise think we need stability but what we really need is a FRESH start with NEW blood in the front office.

We've been there and done that with Hurney and it wasn't good enough to go back.

I agree with that. I'd have preferred that positive change came with better timing and not such an ugly mess though.

I'd like to think we could do something just because it's a good idea and not because we have to respond to a scandal.

It'd be nice, wouldn't it?

have you met Krovvy?

You can read many of my posts where I state I only want him for this year as interim while the Panthers find the best candidate for the position this year.

I'm just so happy whoever is drafting this year isn't Dave. That man couldn't scout for poo.

I can't think of anyone that actually loves Marty Hurney.  That's a gross misinterpretation of what people who have taken a more analytical approach towards the notion of Hurney as the GM have argued.

People have turned Gettleman vs Hurney into politics. Gettleman was their guy, and when he was fired they lashed out, and still do. Using Hurney as some argument as to give Gettleman's failures a pass.

On a scale of 1- to "DID SOMEONE JUST UTTER GETTLEDOUCHE'S NAME?!!?!?"  How mad are you that Gettleman drafted your avi?

This is what I was talking about, politics. I wasn't mad at all, I didn't like that he selected Samuel early, but I loved Samuel's potential. Another pick that I really loved from last year's draft was Corn Elder. You can read my prior posts about both of these players, or you can continue to keep flinging poo to prove that your guy was infallible.

When did I say Gettleman was infallible? LOL talking about flinging poo in a post in which you do it.

Gettleman was a 10 ten GM (read: not perfect, no GM is), who was fired for a reason we still haven't heard. That should bother you, that our organization is trending towards instability and actions without repercussions. I guess it's a moot point now that Jerry is gone.

And I agree with you if we are looking for the "best candidate this year", but it appears that was never really the plan all along and it's been Hurney's job since the day "interm" was applied.

What about a retracted accusation?

Ray Rice's wife retracted her complaint.  In no way am I saying it's the same thing or even similar but let's face it, the NFLs over reaction to situations such as this started after the Ray Rice fiasco.  Just pointing out that the retraction of an accusation doesn't definitively mean there is nothing to the story.

I think this is all vindictive BS but I also think if there is any doubt whatsoever, the Panthers have to make tough decision.  Imagine if it does come out down the road there is actually something to the story and Hurney is the GM.

Given the circumstances created by JR how can they risk it?
