Which is effectively saying she doesn't want it to go to court because she can't prove it beyond a resonable doubt.

I don't want him as a GM but that's a different story and independent of this

Yeah, but it still doesn't retract the accusation, just how she wants to handle it.  Whether or not you believe the accusation, the NFL has to take it seriously.  So, barring a full recanting of the accusation by the ex-wife, the NFL will have to do a legitimate investigation to determine the actual facts.  And that will take time, likely effecting Hurney's employment chances...fair or not.

Maybe but look how long it took to investigate Ezekiel Elliott. The investigator (a woman, no less) said that he shouldn't be punished and he still was. We can't wait around for that.

And if this was an attempt at a money grab, she's ignorant and likely, defeated her own purpose.

Yeah but if he’s innocent that’s going to cost him an big opportunity, if he’s guilty he’s out, but shouldn’t be automatically thrown off the list due to accusations that can be false.....can ruin someone’s career with something like this

So you're not exciting about the man losing his job but "you can live with it".

Lol....yep, I'm the asshole.

Went back looking hard for something you could use to justify your accusations, eh?  Ah well, beats apologizing, right?

Yes, if he continued to get paid despite not actually having to work, I could live with that.  You'll notice nothing about that has him living in disgrace.  Just the opposite.  As I've said before, it allows him to be out of the spotlight while everyone forgets about him so he can live in peace while simultaneously allowing the Panthers to move on.

Gee, what a horrible thing that would be :eyeroll:

Conveniently she created it after trying to get more alimony. The judge said there wasn't evidence of it, then marty tattled right after it happened. The team told the NFL and Marty was put on leave. Then she withdrew the claim and her lawyer says there's nothing to see here. This wreaks of showmanship and greed.

I completely agree.  This stinks to high heaven.

Are you suggesting these are the same things?

Don't have all the info yet. But I'll error on the side of defending the woman first. That video should remind you how abused women often react once post accusation. Hurney goes nowhere near BofA until the NFL has finished it's investigation.

That video is hilarious, Unicorns don't exist. lmao

I've seen it before and even showed my GF at the time when I found it. lol

I'm curious about this, but my instincts tell me "don't do it".

Correct.

The NFL has taken a lot of PR hits for how they've handled past incidents.  The smart thing for them to do now is to take everything seriously so they don't wind up getting burned again.  It might not be fair, but you can't blame them under the circumstances.

I didn't have to look hard - it was right in front of me.

You can't be serious with this. You think an innocent Hurney would appreciate "living in peace" and being out of the spotlight because the people who only read headlines would think he's guilty because of perception? And you somehow think this is a resonable suggestion?

poo man....I gotta go to bed this is just ridiculous now

This isn't the same thing at all. You need to read more into this story before alluding they are at all similar. Seriously terrible choice
