The complaint of harassment against Panthers interim GM Marty Hurney by his ex-wife has been dropped and there will be no follow-up hearing. Said Hurney's attorney, Kathi Lucchesi of the initial charges: “This is false. No truth to it. Absolutely fiction. Made up in her mind.” Lucchesi said the next step is to get the Panthers to lift the paid administrative leave Hurney has been placed on by the team.

Must've paid her off, aim I right?

Marty's lawyers may not be the most objective source.

It's possible, but if the NFL is going to investigate, this might not go away that quickly.

dont know, if they dropped the charges this quickly and there was never any evidence , it shouldnt affect him getting the GM job.  Theyre already trying to get him back of leave.

I just hope/wish they move the fug on.

That's a real possibility.

Honestly, even if all that comes out of this is Marty looking like an a--hole husband, do you wanna make someone with that image the person who does most of the press work and public speaking for your team? (especially if you're trying to get someone to spend a billion dollars to buy it?)

Public perception is a pretty big deal to the NFL these days, especially after the way the Giants handled their kicker.

Imagine the outrage if Panther were to announce Hurney as full time GM after this??

As long as there's no confidentiality agreements involved.
