Houston A and Houston B, both on the list.

Were they still called the Oilers when they played the Rams?  I know they were in Tennessee but I'm blanking on whether they'd changed the logo yet.

Losing that game the way they did sucked balls.

We signed Dyson for a few years after that but he was never as good as he had been.

I dont know if anything in the NFL is guaranteed especially with freak injuries occuring. I like the Elway comparison , he went to SBs but never had a complete enough team to get it done until late in his career . They won SB when they made it less about him and more having a great supporting cast and better coaching staff, which I could see happening here (already happening a bit). If we continue to struggle with Turner it may take us having a different HC . Cam needs better WRs and a good dependable RB to lean on. And a much better defensive secondary.

I'm hoping for more of Payton Manning though, he won the SB at age 30 and then again in his last season. Hope Cam does both with the same team.

I'm hoping for more of a Jordan situation. Didn't get anything his first 7 seasons and then won 6 out of 8, essentially 6 straight...

But yeah that's not super likely and I'd be happy for us to win just one soon like Peyton did in Indy, or yes another at the tail end.

Dolphins had three or four years of Dan Marino and Zach Thomas together.  No rings. And there are other examples of teams with star players on both sides of the ball who just didn't put it all together.

You still have to build a complete team.

I think that is where we have been.  Awesome quarterback and linebackers, and no ring.  I'm hoping with the coordinator change, we have a key piece.  I'm feeling good that we can finally have two winning seasons in a row and get of that list.

I hope we get off the list!! And I always thought the Browns and Bills won years ago

The Browns ruled in the 50's with Jim Brown and 3 NFL championships. The Bills blew a huge achievement (playing in 4 consecutive SB's) by losing 4 in a row.

I don't know what's worse...that or never being in it.  Sometimes 2nd place is just the first loser.

Only thing sadder is the list of teams that have never been to the Super Bowl:

Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars.

It must especially suck to be a fan of Cleveland or Detroit.  Those teams have failed to get to the big dance for 52 years.

At least they can hold their head high on their dynasties pre-super bowl. The Keksans and Jasg on the other hand..
