Not sure if this was already posted, didn’t see it anywhere. 

Apparently JT is among the many parents who will be steering their children away from football. He stated it pretty clearly at a presser... wonder if Goodell wishes they were paying someone else to perform at HThttp://abcnews.go.com/Sports/justin-timberlake-son-play-football/story?id=52773767

It's still their choice. Don't hold them back from their dreams. I would've been pissed at my parents if they never let me played. I had been wanting to since I was in first grade. Team sports is great at building character anyway and a way to learn to cooperate well with others. Not to mention the exercise. There's still a lot more good to come from football.

I don’t blame him. As a former player (like I’m sure most of us) and a HS coach, I don’t know if I’d push any future sons to play football. I think there are other sports that teach life lessons just as well as football  that are much cheaper and safer.

Wait until he realizes that the harder you push someone, especially your child away from something the more they gravitate toward it. And the more you push them to do something the harder they resist it. It's common knowledge that when you tell someone not to do something it makes them want to do it....he'll figure it out...the hard way it seems.

Safer compared to what? many players come from areas where getting hit in the head is the least of their concern. They've gone over this over and over and over again in many documentaries and there are only so many jobs in other sports so there will always be a place for some people to make millions in a game like NFL football. I'd take it too if I had the ability and needed the escape.

Not even remotely the most dangerous job either but yet could set you up for life for at max 10 years of service if you're one of the best? For playing a game? hah i call BS on the anti movement atm...even at it's worst case scenario the good far outweighs the bad for most people. poo I'd die a millionaire at 50 than live 80 as an average person any time. It is also at an all time high in saftey and awareness....sign me up any day any life. Just uh...let me put on a few(100) pounds and grow a few inches.

Pretty much any sport or group activity is safer than football. I do agree that a lot of these people live in terrible situations and football is a great avenue to elevate their social status and learning opportunities.

Sure but like I said where do the NFL players go or the people who got replaced by them? If you took away all of the future would be NFL players there wouldn't be enough professional sports jobs for them to fill and then where do the people go who got replaced by the would be NFL player? Only so many jobs bruh.

I have 2 sons 6 & 5, I did amateur boxing when I was younger if I had a choice I would choose football for them over that. 

For some football could be the only way out of a bad spot, could be there ticket to college a degree and a career, because let’s face it only a tiny sliver can turn playing any sport into a FT Career.

      100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
