Everybody that year wanted Brockers.  I wanted Fletcher Cox and didn't understand picking Luke.

As it worked out, they are both beasts. The draft is a total crapshoot, so anytime you can luck out on a player like Luke, well, you just count your blessings.

we need that Hurney one more time.

I think this thread proves why we all were sceptical to Luke: It's the off-season, we all convince ourself we are one or two missing piece away from a SB run. Drafting positions of non need destroys that illusion :)

Yeah, Luke is probably one bad hit from over. But you can't draft/play that way.  MLB is not a major need right now, so...

Imagine if we had 1 more allstar on offense and 1 more on defense... hmm

What happened when we had anything remotely resembling that? 17-2 SB Run. I wont call ginn an allstar but in retrospect he was incredibly crucial to our offense and we sorely missed him last season. Our secondary has been in shambles since Norman left

Make it happen Hurney

a healthy olsen and norman.

I hated the pick and thought he was a skinny little bitch

ive learned to never gate on a pick since.

Props for being able to admit that one. The only time I've ever gotten absolutely pissed about the pick was when we selected this hybrid safety instead of what I felt was going to be one of the best LBers from that class, when we chose TD over Derrick Johnson. Both were great players, but I think we ended up with the slight edge due to Davis's incredible heart and desire to play.

Oh, and I remember wanting Olsen over Beason, but that was more of a disappointment than anger. Ends up we got him eventually, lol.
