AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE WHO DOESN'T RECOGNIZE SOMEONE AS G.O.A.T. BECAUSE THEY LOST TWO fuging SUPER BOWLS!? JORDAN NEVER LOST! MONTANA NEVER LOST! SHAQ NEVER LOST!

Post season isn't everything. Need to play like a boss in the regular season to get to the ship and Brady has done that.

By your argument, Jerry Rice isn't the GOAT Receiver because he lost the Super Bowl against the Bucs. Only those undefeated in the big one count as GOATs.

Jerry Rice is the GOAT receiver because he abused the competition on a regular basis. Just like Brady. Just like Jordan.

It's a silly argument.

I hate Brady and his NE teammates with a passion. That said, your argument about never losing a title is WEAK.

Both times Brady lost the Super Bowl, he had his team ahead in the 4th quarter. His defense allowed the Giants to take the lead in both games and Brady didn't have enough time left on the the clock to win the game.

Montana may have never lost a Super Bowl, but then again he didn't take his team to the big game on eight different occasions over a span of 16 years. Montana's run was from 1981-1989, then it was over. Brady's first ring was in 2001 and it's looking like his next one will be in 2017. He's on the verge of winning the 3 titles in 4 years for the 2nd time in his career. Brady has had a completely different team the last 2 times he's been to the Super Bowl. None of the players from the 2001-2004 title run are on the roster. Montana didn't win any titles with a completely overhauled roster.

Jordan plays a team sport where you have to win a best of 7 series. He can lose one, two, or even three games in a championship or playoff series and still come out on top. In the NFL, it's one and done. Football teams can't have off games or an off day and expect to win a championship. NBA, MLB, and NHL players and teams can.

I'd still take Montana over Brady in a big game. I'm just saying that saying a player who lost a title game makes him inferior to one who didn't isn't a fair way to assess who is a better player at a particular position. A QB can play out of his mind and still come out on the short end because of bad defenses. Take Drew Brees for example. He's torched teams like the Seahawks, 49ers, and Vikings in divisional playoff games on the road and walked off the loser in each game because of crappy defenses or late game meltdowns.

comparing not only different sports, but also entirely different generations is lame.

MJ is the greatest of all time ( so far) in his sport and his generation. LJ is the greatest in this generation at his sport.

In football, (cause we all know the QB gets all the credit) Brady IS the greatest of this generation, hands down...no question! Like him or hate him, the results speak for themselves.

This is the correct answer.    In most sports, you have to segment generations because of how the game was played.    QB's weren't passing as much as QB's now a days 20+ years ago, minus maybe Marino etc.       Jordan played at a time when rules/officiating was quite different than Lebron, so you have to split them up in generations.

I'm not a fan of "Brady is the GOAT."

He certainly has win more Superbowl rings, than any other QB. Does the number of Championships of a team sport qualify any QB as the GOAT? If so, Otto Graham is the GOAT, as no QB will ever match the number of pro football championships he has won.

Now that I've buried that bs.

Jordon.
