Ryan Kalil To Retire in 2018

It's truly great to see Ryan and TD play their entire careers for the Panthers.The fact that this will be their final year should be seen as a positive. Both are still good players and are retiring at seeming a perfect time, before their skills erode completely.

Kalil leaving makes it imperative to lock down Norwell.

2019 Panthers are Kalil-free.

I believe we were the 4th oldest team this past season so Ryan and TD's retirements could be seen as positive.

No way i would pick up that salary for one more season when its not even a guarantee he wont sleep crooked and miss games again. Great player but i think he is done here. Not for what he will make next season.

Don’t see many players stay with one team their entire career, Kalil has been the centerpiece of our o-lines along with Gross.

Indeed. Price is a 1st round talent and would be in play for us at #24.  But keep in mind that the Bills' center just retired and they have 2 1st rounders and pick just ahead of us.

Kalil is not expendable. The offense is completely different with him on the field.

Kalil saying he is going to retire after next year is a business move. He does not want the Panthers to cut him and wants to collect that 9+mill pulling the sentimental card. I love all that Kalil has done for us but 9 mill for a center that has been hurt injured for 2 years plus is too damn much. Hurney needs to show he has changed and get a restructure or cut him

I doubt that. That neck injury probably scared him and made him realize he better go out now that he's healthy and get into the production business full time.
