Actually the way they've worded it makes it sound like it's not necessarily a football injury.

That could be anybody.

Nobody's playing football right now except at the Pro Bowl.

Checked the rosters. The Bills have three pro bowlers: Richie Incognito, Micah Hyde and LeSean McCoy.

If it's Eric Wood, that's a terrible shame. He's a pretty good center.

Sucks to end a career like that but fortunately for him he should be set for life as he had just signed a contract with $14.2 mill guaranteed.

Former 1st round pick and nine year NFL starter. If he's been anywhere close to smart with his money he should be set for life several times over.

It is other reporters confirming now. Man feels eerily similar to Ryan all of a sudden neck injury. I feel terrible for him

Being reported now that he's decided to retire.

Turns out Wood has had this injury for a while and it was only discovered via an end of season physical.

Damn! He's lucky something worse didn't happen before this was discovered.

Side Note: If they were to make a movie, I'm guessing he'd be played by Seth Rogen.
