I think we're going to re-sign Graham Gano to a multi-year deal. It's not sexy or exciting but he's a great kicker who has the opposition starting at their own 25-yard line every time he kicks off.

Franchising Norwell will be too much of a cap hit. Would love to keep Norwell and Star but the reality is we probably can’t fit them into our budget. Offer them a fair contract and if they move on so be it. We’ve invested draft picks into DT and OL. They need to see the field. Use the money to strengthen other positions of need.

Norwell agent will want him to be the highest paid guard in the NFL, so almost LT money. Star wants to be paid like one of the best DT's in the NFL so similar or more then what KK got.

Can't help but wonder if Short getting a big contract first put Lotulelei off a little bit.

It was the right move, objectively speaking. I doubt anybody would argue that. But human nature being what it is...

Pretty much nobody believes were going to be able to keep both Lotulelei and Norwell.

A fairly significant portion don't believe we'll be able to keep either one.

Guess we'll see what happens.

It's basically a forgone conclusion Norwell will be the priority.
