REPORT: Giants will go hard after Andrew Norwell

For those banking on a comp pick if we lose Norwell will likely be disappointed.  We have several other needs such as S, DE, WR, and OL depth and will certainly use the money we saved on Norwell to fill some of those needs.  And that will give us more gains than losses, most likely costing us the comp pick.

Even losing Star, Dickson (who I actually think we will re-sign), and one or two of our other minor FA's as well might not be enough to get us a pick.  At best, we might get a late round comp pick, but I highly doubt we'd get a 3rd.

We've needed an upgrade at backup TE for years and I hope we finally address it this offseason.

I don't disagree, but Ron & co. seem to be comfortable with him.  If anything, I think they will try to get a guy in the middle rounds of the draft to develop.  But I really don't expect a TE in FA or the early rounds of the draft (unless we fill most of our big needs in FA).
