If you're still eagerly groveling in defense of the GM of another team, it's a bit disingenuous to tell someone else to get thicker skin.

This isn't the Giants forums.

We can direct you there if need be.

That applies equally if you're still spending all of your posting time attacking the GM of another team.

Let...it...go.

But...but...but he cut my favorite player!  He didn't give my other favorite player weapons!   He hates my favorite player!  If it wasn't for my favorite player this team would suck!  You all are racists!

Did I miss anything?

Brandon Beane should be the teams GM but JR let him walk to bring Hurney back...............

ehhhh

I tend to think Beane jumped at the first chance he got to get the hell out of Dodge before the Jerry show went national.

Link me to all the Gettleman threads I've created please.

I'll wait.

maybe ppl on here would respect you more if you acknowledged the obvious. at least top dawg copped to it. i don’t have to agree with it, but the fact that you spend the amount of time that you do contradicting everybody who dares say anything positive about gettleman shows that you have a personal issue with the kind of person he is, and where top dawg rose to the accusation and stood by it, you cowardly try to deflect and project.

Do you not see the hypocrisy?

If I "cop to" holding some ire for Gettleman for his gaffes, will you "cop to" clearly holding some irrational loyalty to him for whatever reason?

People here call me the biggest Cam homer on the board, but even I know and freely admit his spotty accuracy can be maddening.

When was the last time you acknowledged that DG made a mistake of any kind?

If you're willing to find common ground, so am I. But you're the one bulldozing into threads ranting about "STEVE SMIFF" when almost everyone here has already moved past that.

you really need to get some thicker skin dude. about smith’s departure, gettleman’s demeanor, everything. it’s more likely he’s not slighting mcadoo and nj.com is just taking a soundbyte out of context and framing it in a way to entertain their readership bc every giants fan hates mcadoo forever for benching eli.

the NY market is a shark tank. and gettleman’s not going to mince words while trying to get a point across like everybody wanted him to in carolina. it’s not gettleman’s fault that jerry ran this place like a mickey mouse organization for the last 20 years, and job security was based on appeasement to the meal tickets, instead of putting a better product on the field. i couldn’t give less of a fug how smith felt about getting cut. say what you want about the guy, but he made the tough decisions that hurney never did (when papa jerry let him), and he made them knowing that ppl weren’t going to be happy and it didn’t phase him. we all wanted a hard ass after 2012 when hurney got fired bc he had no answer for JR about why the team was 1-5 and we were in cap hell. and then we got one and we ended up hating him for being a hard ass and cutting guys that weren’t approaching their role on the team with any discipline.

and if gettleman fails in NY, at least he’ll fail knowing definitively that the decisions that were made were his own, not like here where there’s pressure and influence from ron, jerry, the players, the top cats, probably brandon beane, and whoever the hell else. i know the giants owners wanted a pats coach, but they deferred to dave and endowed him with the appropriate level of authority to make the hire he wanted. in contrast, dave came in here and had no control over who was going to be a part of the coaching staff from day one. i bet they don’t have weekend log cabin getaways with bed checks in new york either.

and the part about him not bringing enough personnel in to fill the holes is bullshit. he provided the coaches with enough talent to be contenders every year. if they want to try to stick square pegs in round holes and have a shitty two minute drill then there’s no amount of talent you can bring in to win a championship with that. this isn’t basketball, and you can’t just buy your way to a championship. strategy just plays way too big a part here.

Funny thing was, the things that people disliked here are factors that were cited by the Giants in why they hired him.

All business demeanor, doesn't let emotions factor in, makes the hard decisions and sticks by them, doesn't give a rat's ass about hurt feelings, doesn't get distracted by the outside noise, etc.  All positives up in New York.  Heck, Ernie Accorsi cited the Smith and Norman decisions as feathers in his cap when he was talking to Mara and Tisch about hiring him.

Meanwhile, we're still talking about the hurt feelings of a player that was cut four years ago, even after we went to the Super Bowl and posted the best season in team history without him.

A lot of people have complained about how Jerry Richardson ran the team like a family instead of a business.  Well, if you want the team to be run like a business, sometimes you're gonna piss people off.

Like I've said before, they see things a little differently in New York than we do down here.  But they have four Super Bowl victories to their credit using that approach.  What do we have?

You haven't started a thread on anything in over a year.

As to your numerous posts about Gettleman, here's a link.

So no threads then?

I mean I can dig through your posts and find dozens upon dozens about Hurney and Gettleman. It's the offseason.

You're not a dumb guy, but you pulled this same poo with Hurney back when you were blindly yucking it up with everyone else back in the days of the "Hurneymagic" memes. The only thing that has changed is the name.

Like that "rant" you found about Eric Shelton? :)

Frash already nailed you, dude.  You're just trying to divert attention and make excuses now.

And it's still boring.

Why on earth would you be talking about Shelton anyway?

If you see me here in 10 years still ranting about Edmund Kugbila, I expect you to lambast me too.
