Lee was an early 2nd round pick, so it’s not like he wasn’t expected to perform. He was taken 11 picks after KB and 22 picks before Robinson in 2014.

I’m referring to his career in whole, not just this year, and Bortles is wildly inconsistent even with a top defense, running game and above average WR core. I’m not for overpaying Lee but he’s a better fit than kB, who is only a threat on slant routes and curls, and had issues maintaing weight at times

I like Moncrief, but he plays a lot smaller than his size. Wouldn't be surprised if he disappoints.

I'm not holding my breath on the Panthers spending the money needed for an veteran starting wide receiver.

They may add a guy, but I'm sure a starting position will NOT be promised. 

I'd like to be proven wrong, so we'll see.

Of course everyone would love to sign the best WR available.  But the Panthers don’t have the cap space.  Even with cuts and restructures we will have enough room for a solid vet WR upgrade (Lee) not a stud like Landry.  I’m not even sure Jarvis is worth 12-15 mill a year..We still need a SS, LG, and vet corner depth.  Say goodbye to Star and Norwell that’s a luxury we can’t afford but we will still be in very good shape heading into the 2018 season. As long as Hurney doesn’t botch this draft.  That’s asking a lot...

If you want an elite WR, you really do have to draft them. Kind of why I’d rather sign a guy like Moncrief who has potential to help and is cheap enough to not lose Norwell and draft a WR you think could be elite. The draft class is weak but I think that could push down guys to our 1st and 2nd. I noticed that with Kirk and Ridley and Brown that they all went down a little in 2017, but their QBs were awful. That could make for nice opportunities and value.

I don't believe the Panthers will spend enough for a starting (starter) veteran WR.

There is no elite WR in FA. We will go after the burners Wallace/Brown/Pryor to give Norv a deepthreat in his offense.

All three of those guys will fit our price range.
