NFL tinkering with the outcomes of a game?

I have a hard time believing the NFL could keep it quiet, especially in this day and age where everyone has a camera in their back pocket and breaking a story like this would be a career maker.

The Panthers were one of the least penalized teams this season. Was the NFL trying to get us into the playoffs?

So did the NFL tell the Jags to burn the whole play clock and not call time out to negate a key 3rd down pick up late in the 1st half that would have prevented the final Patriots drive of the half with the suspect PI and critical TD? Did the NFL tell the Jags to switch to more zone based coverage in the second half rather than the man they had played the whole game?

The crew didn't call many penalties at all. The only hold they called was worthy of a MMA take-down. Good coaches read the officials just like the weather or wind and instruct their team accordingly.

Jacksonville only had a handful of pass interference calls all year. The first major PI call before halftime that lead to the TD wasn't PI, for one, and the ball wasn't close to the play either and no one talks about that. It's rigged AF. Sorry.

I actually noticed this in game before it went viral. I found it funny and new instantly a meme would be generated over it.

I saw it in real time too. It's not professional and further proof its rigged.

It's not "proof". it draws an inference. There was a scrap after this TD between two players. They were probably poo talking and someone said something funny. The camera caught it and people want to stir it up. I wouldnt be surprised if the NFL asks about it though.

It was a questionable call, however; it doesn't happen if the Jags don't blow the play clock on their previous possession to negate picking up a key first down. It's not rigged. Sorry.

100% confident the NFL does not tinker with the outcome. Bad calls happen all year to all teams. We notice is with certain teams more often because ESPN talks about 4-5 teams regularly, if that. If the NFL wanted the highest markets to do well then Brady and Zeek would never have received 4 game suspensions. Or, during the appeal they would have been reduced to 2 games.

a ten billion dollar entertainment company doesn't tinker with the outcome? have you noticed how many "amazing coincdence" storylines we have had? upstart hawks dominate legendary broncos, broncos shock the world, harbaugh brothers, 16-0 patriots losing to giants, patriots losing to giants again, 28-3 OT owl won by the legendary brady, ravens with a magical run, seahawks literally throwing the ball at the one with marshawn in the backfield, saints winning after katrina

I don't believe all this is rigged but can you not see how shady this looks? I bet the Texans will win one in a few years too.

Putting hands and pushing on a receiver to the point where the receiver is rerouted is illegal every time.

I think it is rigged in some manner. Not blatantly. But there are subtle calls that get teams back in the game or like we saw yesterday helped give Patriots momentum. What’s worse is when refs give make up calls the play after making a bogus penalty. It’s weak AF.

What I think the real issue is that the refs are no held accountable in game. They have the NFL shield behind their back and they think they have all the authority. They are spiteful and arrogant. They can influence a game if a player or coach gives them hell and they decide not to make the right calls. That’s what I don’t like.

I was thinking the same thing. That PI call that gave the Patriots their swag back and led to their first TD was a BS call. When it was called I felt like the refs wanted them back in the game. That changed the momentum. 88 penalty yard difference in a game is dramatic.

Explain how the NFL impacted any of that now. You're claiming that a coincidence is now a fact. You think any of this draws extra ratings? People are tuning in no matter what.

My only big questionable "call" yesterday was the whistle on the Pats fumble.  The Jags defender was going to make a big return on that ... they refs are supposed to let that stuff play out.  I still think the Pats win the game, but that play could have made a big difference.
