Had they pulled Cam from the game and sent him to the locker room only to have him say, "I only got gouged in the eye by my own helmet and I could have gone back in" the first two posters here would have been up in arms about how they had an agenda for keeping Cam off the field.

Sheesh. Let it go. Take Cam's word for it, if nothing else.

i don't think anyone in here thinks we fugged up. all the criticism is going towards the BS coming from the inconisitent league in making an issue of this, esp. when they seem to have no problem with guys taking shots at cam's head on a regular basis.

If I'm not mistaken, that was the Texans QB that was convulsing in the end zone, and still played briefly afterward.

Edit. Yeah it was Tom Savage.

Thanks for the info. So he plays and nothing happens to them, Cam gets poked in the eye and our staff tell him to hit the dirt and weay get punished. Absurd. Like I said, there is a clear bias against this team and cam

If it's more than a fine that's complete bullsh*t. Seahawks, who are repeat offenders with several different instances in different years of breaking protocol with practicing and concussions, just got a $100,000 fine this year for handling Wilson's protocol improperly. Should be nothing but worst case is likely a fine which really doesn't matter.

And please change the thread title @Cookie Lyon . Doesn't say we're getting punished, just that we'll find out whether we are or not soon.

Why should I change the thread title? Schefter is reporting that a fine is possible. A fine is punishment. :eyeroll:

Nothing has stopped the NFL from being blatantly hypocritical before but, if they punish Carolina in this case, they also should admit that a QB got hit in the head and got a concussion and their officials stared right at it (yet again) and did nothing.

So were is the fine for a shot to Newton's head.

Yeah it does logically follow that if the response was worthy of punishment, then the hit that caused there to be any sort of response should merit punishment too

You can use the quote button.

But I'm reminded you're the guy who still questions his "intangibles" :eyeroll:

Intangibles *cough cough* skin color

Unfortunately yes. We got completely fuged with the Hardy fiasco, while other teams with DV players got let off the hook.

Because our owner completely folded.

Yep. DeBartolo would not have had any of that sh*t. He'd say give me the cap space back or Hardy is playing. To a degree I feel bad JR was forced out but damn I'm happy we're getting rid of him. Firing DG and dictating what kinds of players we can have, the Hardy situation, etc. are all huge no-nos for me from an owner.
