NFL rigged, Moon landing faked, Space aliens control the gubmint, and bunicorns are real.  All have about the same chance of being true.

The Money argument is ludicrous.  The amount of money they make is the same regardless of who is in the Superbowl.  If they were all that concerned about the ratings, and the NFL was rigged, the Eagles and Vikes would not be in this game.  The Packers and Cowboys would be.  Jacksonville would not be in the AFC championship game.

Most of the penalties called were legit.  A couple were borderline.  Jacksonville lost because its offense stopped scoring, and its defense wasn't going to stop Brady forever.  In short, they lost because New England is better,  Period, end of discussion.

That's why the illuminati did 9/11...the proof of rigging was in WTC7.  The ghost of Pete Rozelle called in a favor to the freemasons.

You are correct, I did misunderstand you the first time, sorry about that.  But holding calls are missed every game, regardless of who is playing.  Refs are human.

Regardless, the game changers were the PI's, and they were legit.  Those, and the stupid but completely legit delay of game that Jacksonville got after a time out.  That one was a real killer, and their coach admitted such.  Most of Jacksonville's penalties were just boneheaded mistakes on their part.  The Pats didn't commit any boneheaded mistakes, which is why they won.

And if it was rigged, there is no way the two most popular franchises in the NFC (Green Bay and Dallas) wouldn't have had a 10 year plus SB drought.  More than that for Dallas.

The missed holding calls on critical NE plays were especially egregious. I understand that refs miss calls, I do get that. However, to only see ONE penalty on New England for that game? Do you really believe that? I am not going to even sit here and say that there is a prime directive from the NFL that says New England gets this or that call. But I have seen enough sports to know that there is some element of biased calling that is possible. Look at the NBA and how their star players have been taken care of for years. ACC basketball is another example. There has been obvious biased officiating for the better part of 30-40 years in that league, if not more.

The narrative I cannot believe is that it was by some coincidence that New England played such a clean game at home. Especially when you can watch the game and see very obvious penalties that were not being called on them. This does not absolve the Jaguars from not finishing, however in a game as close as it was, those calls have an impact. As Panthers fans, we have been painfully aware of that over the years when we were in franchise defining moments.

Roger Godell travelled back in time and impregnated Brady’s mom ... just giving you facts baby. Nothing but facts

They would prefer Dallas and Pittsburgh, the two most popular NFL franchises.

You would think, but the refs let the Jaguars defenders grab the Pittsburgh WRs' jerseys & in general hold them the entire game last week, but then threw pass interference penalties against the Jaguars today when they played the Patriots.  Coincidence?  I really don't think so.

For everyone crying about conspiracy theorist and saying it’s not possible the NFL is rigged in some way or another. Do you not follow Soccer and what happened with FIFA?

I think NBA is a better example with that ref that went to prison for rigging games.

I'm starting to be torn, who is the best team to beat the Cheatriots,  Vikes or Eagles...Vikes would have homefield advantage..but is that enough?

Gotta think the Vikings. Both are very good defenses (Vikings #1 and Eagles #4 in the regular season), but the Vikings are MUCH better against the pass. They were #2 vs. the pass vs. #17 for the Eagles. For reference, the Panthers were #7 overall and #18 vs. the pass.

Ok, I can buy that.  I do think that at times, referees tend to have bias, usually unintended.  That is the human element.  Maybe we can some day have robot referees.

I remember what Coach K once said when asked if Tim Duncan got some calls that others might not get.  To his credit, Coach K said yes, he does, and he has earned them.

But any thought that the NFL as an organization wants specific teams to win because they make more money is something I could never agree with.  Primarily because I don't think the money difference is that great.

Remember when Coach K sat out all season with a back injury and then scapegoated his loyal lead assistant and dook assigned the record to Gaudet to keep those losses off of K's record but then reversed course a few years later when they realized those wins during that season would give K the all-time win record?

LOL!
