the NBA should set up the draft like the NFL . This ping pong deal is based on luck and i suspect that it can be rigged.  if you finish last , you have the first pick or trade it .   Once this is set up , its up to the coach , gm , and the players .

This. The year we set the record for worst win % we didn’t get 1 overall, it was poo. How are bad teams supposed to get good if they can’t get first pick?

I know the lottery is meant to keep teams from tanking, but it also hurts teams trying their best to field legitimate teams.  Just imagine if we had been able to take Anthony Davis like we should have.  Having Davis paired with Kemba would have had a whole lot bigger impact than MKG paired with him.

To be honest, I don't think tanking would happen much more than it does now anyway, despite the lottery.  I'd much prefer a system that give bad teams a chance to get the better players...heck, if you have the worst record, you've earned the best player.

Yeah the lottery is just a way for them to rig the draft behind closed doors, I legit think so.   I mean come on.       Any people already tank now, in fact, I'd argue that tanking happens MORE under the lottery because people are tanking and may not even get the top pick, so they KEEP doing it.

looks like Kemba is staying since the Cavs just traded IT to the Lakers for Clarkson and Nance.

Cavs didn't want to part ways with the Brooklyn pick and didn't want to take Batum in the trade, both sticking points with the Hornets on moving Kemba.

At least they were trying to get out of the Hell they created. Oh well. They tried.

Cavs kept going even after they traded IT. It was with a different package, not sure if the bkn pick was included but from what I've seen it was and it might've included Love as well.

As bLackpANTHER just said above ^, maybe Cho couldn't make any big moves and the idea from here on out is to play more of Monk, Bacon and Hernangomez so we can have a better draft pick for the new GM while testing out our young guys?
