I don't  know if he was technically  fired,  but for all intents and purposes,  he was "fired."

i don't know what panthersgab.com is but he chose to let his contract expire to pursue other better opportunities.

If we haven't at least talked to Del Rio, we are fools. Unfortunately I doubt Rivera has the stones to bring in someone who could potentially threaten his own job down the line.

Voth said when Rivera was talking about OC options that it was a prerequisite that they had worked with him before.

I doubt he feels any different about defense.

Well the most I've heard about our DC vacancy has revolved around an internal promotion. I would hope the status quo isn't the first option there.

He's pretty plainly stated that it will either be Washington or Holcomb. Probably Washington unless you follow Steve Wilks (who doesn't have a head coaching job yet, and we could block him anyway).

It's really just a feed, the main source Is Steve Reed, so the report is in other AP sources.  Not saying you're wrong,  but perhaps there is more to the story.

As usual most teams in the NFL are making moves to get better but not the Panthers.  If you aren't in with Ron you don't make the grade.  Heaven forbid steamboat Ron leaving his comfort zone.

Rivera is a baffling. Don't worry, new ownership will take care of him eventually. I'd be shocked if Rivera is here after 2 more seasons. Just a shame this fool wasted Cam's career.

Wow,  all the unjustified Rivera hate. Nothing inherently wrong with hiring in-house. Nothing wrong with hiring from the outside,  like a highly respected Norv Turner.

To play devil's advocate, you could say Rivera making zero effort to remotely consider even one unfamiliar outside candidate for the OC position demonstrates the same sort of stubbornness that kept Shula here for so long.
