For those that go to the games regularly, was there a stealth concessions price increase this year?

I know this may be out of left field, but this past season I bought a lot more basic concessions like hot dogs, popcorn, etc. than normal.  And I noticed something that seemed a little off.  In previous years, if the sign said that a cup of hot chocolate was $3.00, you gave them $3.00 and got your drink.  This year you had to give them $3.24 because they didn't work the tax into the final price.

Did anyone else notice that or was it my imagination?  Or, did they do this a few years ago and I just didn't notice until now?

Never buy anything but the occasional beer in the stadium.  4 all year and that was all at once on the Byrd kickoff return td because we took turns claiming beer for everyone if we returned a kick. Luckily half our group missed that game or i would have been out 100 bucks.   I'm pretty sure they got me for some tax.

YES I noticed it at the first game of the season.  Listed prices used to include the sale tax.  This season they added the sales tax to the listed price.  They also  increase prices on some stuff in addition to the extra increase by now adding the sales tax to it.    Two seasons ago beer was $7.50, and this past season $8.  So then the total cost was $8.50 when they added the tax.  The stealth increase was the not having the sales tax as part of the listed prices.

I actually called the fan customer service the next day because I thought maybe the concession guy was scamming customers and saying it was sales tax and pocketing the extra .50c.    I did mention to them it was kind of a sneaky way to increase prices even more.

It is also different if you use cash or credit.  If use cash, the cashier will round to the nearest .50c in your favor.  So my beer $8.50 cash or $8.58 if use credit.   They do that for all concessions.

Wish our concession prices were like Atlanta’s... $6 gets you a hot dog fries and drink... $6 don’t get you a drink in BOA

Cheapest ticket in the stadium is also $75 and that's even if they decide to sell those (they're removable seats). Usually the cheapest ticket is $100.

We're not much lower than 100. I don't think our cheapest is less than 75. 104 for an upper level is too much.  The jets are lowering ticket prices, I hope a new owner would consider doing the same. I sincerely doubt that though.

Mine are $65 or $67. And see my second quote. Those were group prices because they won't sell individual tickets - has to be season tickets
