as a sports fan, have you ever experienced a moment like the Minneapolis Miracle?

For me, even before I was a panthers fan, I was a Louisiana Ragin Cajun fan.  We hadn't made a bowl game since 1970 and I had never seen us go to a bowl game even though we had players like Jake Delhomme, Brian Mitchell, Peanut Tillman, and Ike Taylor.  It never seemed like we were ever even gonna make a bowl game we had barely missed one 4 times between 2005 and 2010.  With our new coach in 2011, we had an 8-4 record and made the new orleans bowl, which we put 40,000 fans in the stands there for.  Still Ryan Lindley threw a TD pass with 30 seconds left to go up by 1 point.  We got the ball back with no time outs and 30 seconds to work with, and got to a spot for a 55 yard field goal (followed by a 5 yard stemming penalty), still a 50 yarder for a college kid is nothin to sneeze at.  Of Course Brett Baer made it, and that to me was my favorite moment as a sports fan because I had waited so long for us to even be in the game for such a miraculous game winner.  I legit teared up at that game.  FWIW, that cajuns team had Melvin White, Dwight bentley, and Ladarius Green on it, so there was some solid talent there too.  Anyway, here's the game winner that still gives me goosebumps.

I watched almost the whole game on TV at home up until MN got their last FG. Then I drove to my GF's house and sat in my car and listened on SIRIUS to NO get their go-ahead FG. Turned it off and went inside. Checked phone for some reason about 15 minutes later, saw the final score,  and did the biggest facepalm I've ever done in my life. I missed that poo.

Ouch.

Chad Cota's interception against the Steelers in 1996 to seal our first playoff birth was pretty epic, too, for what it was.

I watched that game with a friend who's a Steelers fan.

Week 1 of the 2008 season against the Chargers,  Jake Delhomme threw the game winning touchdown to Dante Rosario with literally 0:00 on the clock.

Being a Knicks fan the game winner by Allan Houston in game 5 of the playoffs against the Miami Heat, our biggest rival at the time, was a great one for me too.

I was at the Oregon-Oklahoma game in 2006 when Oregon won on a controversial onside kick. Oregon was down 13 when the Ducks scored a TD making it 33-27 with 1:53 left. On the following on-sidekick Oklahoma appeared to have recovered and won the game but the refs ruled it Oregon football for some reason. Oregon scored with 21 seconds left to take a 34-33 lead. OU nearly returned the following kickoff for a TD but ended up missing a 44 yard FG as time ran out. Adrian Petersen and Stewart both had monster games.

I slept through both games for some reason.

Didn't culminate in a W, but...

Edit: Should add that this was my senior year, so this team and this game meant the world to me and everyone else in the Class of '16. The following minute was probably the most heartbreaking moment that I've ever experienced. I've never seen so many people crying in one place as I did at He's Not when Jenkins hit that shot, not even at a funeral lol.

I was at that game! Only thing you heard in that stadium was screams of our players and crazies like me. I left my seats and ran around the hallway screaming. Lucky didn't get my butt kicked. Charger fans are so nice man lol

At this point, I can't tell if you're poking fun at Mike Rucker or serious.

Wasn't Rucker.  It was a CBS graphics guy who screwed it up in that game.

Part of me still thinks that was deliberate, some idiot in the graphics department just being a bunghole,

my #1 is easily, Deshaun Watson beating Bama.

I see the Rosario Dawson game getting a lot of love.  I'd actually put Delhomme's debut here above that one.   Delhomme's debut over time has rose in the ranks for me.  We had no emotional attachement to him at the time tough.  But that was the debut of Jake's crazy and often unexplained magic that he had for a good window.   I think Tommy Jone ate his magic though.  Never had it after that Tommy Jone got him.
