- USA Hockey's Miracle on Ice

- Kerri Strug's winning vault on one foot (Mary Lou Retton and Nadia too)

- The Music City Miracle

- Barry Sanders incredible runs

- The Red Sox breaking the curse

- The Cubs winning the World Series

- Tyson vs Hollyfield's ear

- Scott Norwood blowing the game winner

- Dorothy Hamill

- App State upsetting Michigan

- Doug Flutie's Hail Mary

- Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary(s)

- Kordell Stewart to Michael Westbrook

- The Helmet Catch by David Tyree

- Muhammad Ali

Lord, I'm old.

I'm too young for Ali but some other good boxing ones stick with me

JMM KOed Pacquiao cold was a big one in my house.

I watched the Tyson Vs Holyfield on tv back when it was scrambled but you could still hear it.... lolz

I vaguely remember the Tyson vs Douglas upset

There was a time when boxing was one of the premier sports in existence. If there was a heavyweight title match going on, the whole world stopped.

Screw you, Don King!

I went to App, and we had won 2 straight national championships, but I didn't give this game a second thought.  I was competing in a bbq contest in Myrtle Beach, and it was humid and hot as crap.  I had been up all night in a field, cooking 4 categories, and was waiting on the awards ceremony.  I was just collapsed in a folding chair with no tv anywhere near.  people kept coming up telling me that App was winning, etc, but I never thought they'd actually win.

Wish I could have watched it, but it wasn't an event like the entire state of Minnesota erupting and the entire state of Louisiana  crashing at once.

I had tickets to the game and at the last minute told my Dad that that was a long way to drive to watch them get beat. Let’s spend the money on the Nat’l Championship game if they make it back. Well, I got to watch them beat UMass for the title, and have been kicking myself for selling those tickets ever since.

Yeah, my family cared for and rode horses back in the day, so Secretariat's Triple Crown was must-watch TV for us.

I wish I'd have been old enough to get it.  That's one of the greatest moments ever.

I was around and aware for the Holy Roller in Oakland, but i didn't see it live.

I grew up a boxing fan from 90's on until about the last few years,  its completely in the shi**ter now.   ( relegated to side show circus garbage like Mayweather / McGregor

We have a chance for a great heavyweight fight between Deontay Wilder Vs Anthony Joshua but promoters being promoters are dodging it

but that's a topic for another thread.

I was 10 years old for Secretariat's Triple.

Hell, I was in high school for the Holy Roller.  I loved those 1970's Raiders squads.  Damn, what a buncha misfits.

I remember the Pastorini-Stabler trade. Football analysts went nuts.

Another event I wish I'd been old enough to appreciate wasn't sports related.  It was Apollo 13 (I was 3).
