With Hall, Cox Jr and Obada we have some raw young guys who have the chance to develop and make an impact. Good young depth, really hope one of them shines and entrenches himself as a starter. Wouldn't stop me from grabbing a good rusher in FA/draft.

He was a prototype athlete prospect that Dave took a gamble on in the 3rd knowing it was okay if he didn't make an impact as a rookie due to the depth of our DE group last year. Let's hope he IS ready to make an impact next year.

Nice idea for a thread.

Hall gained a lot of weight during his short time and A&M.  He fell because he was not going to help anyone as a rookie; he needs more strength.  Adding strength without losing quickness while learning pro technique takes a while. Frankly, look for him to surface around year 3, like Hardy, Johnson, Addison, and even Horton did (some of those were not here the whole time or were cut/PS players, so you get the basic idea).

Thank goodness Horton emerged as a better DE this year.

Peppers (25 snaps or so), Addison, Horton, Hall, and the Rookie/Free agent.  Since we are aging at DE and it takes a few years to develop, we def. need a rookie in the first three rounds this year.

He really just got a slash play in the playoffs. Norv will need to get him in space to use him effectively. I still don't see him as a 3 down back though.

What is Obada's status?  I assume he's been signed to a futures contract.  Can we use him on the final roster next year?

Hopefully the off-season conditioning gets him molded and ready for the rotation.

I would still get Peppers for another year.
