I would have loved to see what Haley could do with Cam and this O, especially with Rivera constantly talking about Big Ben being a blueprint for how the organization wanted Cam's evolution to play out. Oh well.

but if it was expected a lot of Nfl reporters and talking heads were not aware of such

i would say that Ben who has gone from saying he was thinking of retiring, now talking about continuing to play two to three more years lends  credence to the riff

Haley won't be coming here (no familiarity with Rivera) but I wouldn't bet on him being unemployed long.

Even if Haley did come here, i wouldn't expect us to put up the points the Steelers did with our WR core and our OL blocking scheme...

Haley runs a pure E-P.  Shula employed some E-P concepts, so it wouldn't necessarily be a huge adjustment. Plus his experience working with Roethlisberger would probably benefit him working with Newton.

But yeah, that's not happening.
