Who's going to evolve in 2018 ? Norv or Cam ?

This statement right here is why I'm on the drafting Guice bandwagon. I think him and McCaffery will be a formidable tandem for years to come.

But I'm also hoping we make our largest free agency splash ever by landing Allen Robinson

Does he make it to 24?

I think there could be some truth to this, but considering Newton got benched for not wearing a friggin' tie, I'd have to say I'm skeptical that he's just surrounded by a bunch of yes men.

It could be that Ron thought Cam wasn't getting firm coaching, and decided to give him the firm coach with the tie issue. He picked a stupid fuging hill to die on, but it could explain the reason Ron took such a hardline stance on a small offense.

I highly doubt Norv Turner would have taken the job if he wasn't willing or able to adapt to a QB like Cam.

From Newton, I've seen nothing to indicate there should be much of an issue adapting to a new coordinator. See his rookie season.

Instead of asking what Cam is going to do, you should be asking what our run game is going to be able to do. It doesn't matter who your QB or OC is if your RB's can barely muster 3 yards a carry.

absolutely this. RBs did much better down the stretch, well...CMC did anyways, but it wasn't enough. cam had more carries than CMC regularly, quite a bit more the last 4 or 5 games. you don't draft an RB in the top 10 and then give him less than  carries a game, esp. when your other RB is only able to manage  y/a most games.

i do think that they should continue to keep cam alive in the run game, but nothing near 10 carries a game. just enough to keep defenses honest.

i do think that a lot of the problem was he would take off running because none of his receivers were able to get open and the only chance they had to move the ball was if he took matters into his own hands.

regardless, i believe that norv can help improve every aspect of the offense...even if there is no change in personnel (which i hope there will be).

i think cam has never been one of those guys who feels no need to up his game or improve what he does. he's made strides in just about every year. this year the focus had to be on recovering from shoulder surgery so i think that accounts for a lack of growth as a QB that may have been witnessed, but still he's always been one that tries to attack his weaknesses and improve performance just like luke does.

and norv is a solid teacher who expects a lot, but i think he's able to do it without being an ass so i don't think that there's going to be this massive clashing going on between the two nor do i think that what norv expects from cam is going to be much more than what was expected of him earlier. the focus won't be on to change what he does...it will be to make what he does better. i think that's more norv's MO historically.

I could see them Drafting another RB in the Draft this year, as well. Maybe a Chubb, or Bo Scarborugh type.

or even just picking up one of the young FA guys that has a bit of power. i mean hyde would be great, probably a bit expensive and unrealistic, but then that guy from the giants orleans darkwa showed some power.

i mean there are options out there that would complement CMC and would be a pretty significant upgrade from stew who could be around for a while. whatever we do, don't settle for the status quo at RB and WR.

I would guess that Cam and Norv will evolve.  Norv has never had a QB like Cam,  and Cam has never had an OC like Norv. Expect both to get outside their comfort zones and embrace some things they might not have necessarily thought about too much before.
